Part 1. Before the match
Enter the match information
Fill in the date, time, city, country code, division (men or women), category (youth, junior or senior), pool, competition, match number and venue. Choose the format, best of 3 or best of 5, and the number of substitutions per set.
Add the match officials
Enter the 1st referee, 2nd referee, scorer and assistant scorer.
Set up the teams
Type each team’s name and pick its jersey colour. You can also upload a logo or country flag, and clear it if you make a mistake.
Do the coin toss
Choose the toss winner and what they chose: serve first, receive first, or the side. Then assign Team A to the left side and Team B to the right.
Add the rosters
Enter up to 14 players for each team. You can save a team and load it again later. If coaches sent lineup files, import them and approve both teams.
Add team officials
Open Team Officials and Signatures to enter the coach, assistant coach, medical officer, trainer and captain for each team.
Pick the starting lineups
Press Next: Setup Lineups, choose the six starting players for each team in Set 1, then press Start Match.

Substitutions
Press SUB. Pick the player on court who comes out and the bench player who comes in. Choose Regular Substitution, or Exceptional Substitution for an injured player.

Sanctions
Press Sanction, choose the team and the type (delay warning, delay penalty, yellow card, red card, expulsion or disqualification). Add the jersey number and notes if needed, then press Record Sanction.
Change sides

Built for the game
VolleySync began as DC_Volley, a scoring tool made by State Volleyball Referee Devabrot Chaliha in Assam, India. It grew into a complete e-scoring app for the officials who run the match.
Tested at BVL Plus Challenger Series 2026
VolleySync ran at the tournament in Guwahati.
Meet the developer
Devabrot Chaliha
Sound mixing engineer, sound designer, State Volleyball Referee and sports technology innovator
Devabrot is an award-winning film sound professional, a State Volleyball Referee in Assam, and a builder of digital sports tools. Few people work across all three, and each one shapes the others.
In cinema he works as a Re-Recording Mixer and Sound Mixing Engineer, mostly in Gujarati films. His job is to bring dialogue, music, effects and ambience together into one immersive experience.
On the volleyball court he knows what officiating demands: accurate scoring, coordination between officials, and strict attention to the rules. VolleySync comes from that experience. It supports referees, scorers, tournament organizers and volleyball associations with digital scoresheets, lineup management, match records, referee-support tools and multi-device use.
He also teaches and shares knowledge on immersive audio and Dolby Atmos workflows, to help the next generation of sound professionals.
